How 4:12 Kids Began

4:12 Kids was founded in 2019 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Lockhart, Texas, with a clear calling — to serve children and families throughout Lockhart and Caldwell County. What began as a small group of neighbors wanting to meet real needs in their own community has grown into a trusted local organization offering fundraiser sales, clothing and goods drives, and holiday meal outreach to families who need extra support.

Every program we run stays rooted in one simple idea: showing up for our neighbors, year after year.

Our Vision & Mission

Do not let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to them in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity. — 1 Timothy 4:12

This verse is the heart of everything we do. We believe every child and young person in Caldwell County deserves to be seen as capable, valued, and full of potential right now — not someday. Our mission is to walk alongside local families with practical support and steady encouragement, rooted in faith and expressed through everyday action.

Our Core Values

Everything we do flows from three simple commitments — reflected in our tagline, Encourage • Empower • Equip.

We remind every child and family in our community that they are seen, valued, and capable of growing — starting today.

We equip young people and families with practical resources — from clothing and goods to holiday meals — so they can stand a little stronger.

Equip icon

Equip

We provide steady, hands-on support through fundraiser sales and community outreach that meet real needs in Lockhart and Caldwell County.
